Determining What RAID Level to Use Your choice of which type of RAID unit (array) to create will depend on your needs. This is because the capacity of each drive is limited to the capacity of the smallest drive in the unit. Throughout this chapter the examples reflect the interactive method of executing 3ware CLI. Common Tasks Mapped to CLI Commands The table below lists many of the tasks people use to manage their RAID controllers and units, and lists the primary CLI command associated with those tasks. For example, the command show alarms by default lists alarms with the most recent alarm first. If you include the attribute reverse, as in the command show alarms reverse, alarms are listed in reverse order.
